AbstrakX Health Center produces waste consisting of medical and non-medical waste. The handling of solid medical waste must comply with Permenkes No. 2 of 2023 concerning Environmental Health regulations. Facilities and infrastructure for handling solid medical waste must be in accordance with the regulation of Permen LHK No. 56 of 2015. Handling solid medical waste at X Health Center has problems in terms of sorting, transportation and temporary storage. The purpose of this study was to determine the handling of solid medical waste at the X Health Center. The research method used is descriptive. The sample size of 16 respondents and environmental samples of 6 rooms producing solid medical waste. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The research was conducted by collecting data directly through observation and interviews. Data collected regarding the generation, handling, facilities and infrastructure, knowledge and attitudes of health workers and janitors, the implementation of the health center head policy regarding the handling of solid medical waste. In this study, it was found that the average generation of medical waste was 4,990 kg. results of observations of solid medical waste handling in the reduction stage are 100% qualified, sorting stage is 34% qualified, packaging stage is 100% qualified, the transportation stage is 100% unqualified. 71% temporary storage stage is qualified. Facilities and infrastructure for handling solid medical waste 70% meet the requirements. Knowledge of health workers and janitors is categorized as good 100%. The attitude of health workers and janitors is categorized as positive 100%. It is hoped that after this study, the X Health Center will make improvements to the handling of medical waste.
